This collection (2006-2007) contains course notes from several classes and the final report submitted by Ringgenberg for his study abroad program. His course notes include syllabi and class handouts as well as essays, notes, and reports by Ringgenberg for classes in anthropology, history, and philosophy. The oral histories he recorded as part of his Honors Program project can be found in the Iowa State University Sesquicentennial Oral History Project Collection, RS 0/11/7.

Ian Mackenzie Ringgenberg was born on May 6, 1986 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He received his B.S. (2008) in anthropology from Iowa State University. He is the fourth generation of his family to attend Iowa State. At Iowa State, Ringgenberg studied abroad in Mongolia for a semester in the fall of 2006. On March 22, 1948, Iowa State College (University) sponsored a 90th anniversary celebration in honor of the founding of the college, which occurred on the same date in 1858 when the charter act establishing a state agricultural college became law.
